“Extended Christmas celebrations”
I’ve read somewhere before that good shoes take people places. And it’s only now that I’ve actually appreciated that quote.
I was talking to someone on the phone that night (at my relatives’ house) when I saw my aunt go down the stairs with a box in hand. Imagine my surprise when she told me that she’d give me that pair of wedges which she said she’d only worn once. She didn’t know if it fit me, but just like how Cinderella’s story goes, the moment that I tried it on, it was almost like it was meant to be. It fit me perfectly.
Well, here’s to hoping for more shoes this year! :)
